Oh, yeah, my Journal..

Wow, I’ve been completely neglecting my DA account. No Journals, all I post up is polls or my comic… I need to get this ball rolling again, yo. I’m sorry for my inactiveness, guys. I keep trying to make a point to do some solid art, but I can’t think of anything to do, even with the polls. As you know, I’m not really one of those people who post journals once a week since I like to have a lot of events happen before I share them. I’ve been pretty busy as well; I’ve even slacked off on my comic! I’ve been sketching a bit, so hopefully I can get some of those pictures up shortly. I’ve been mostly using them as vote incentives for Top webcomics.

So pretty much it’s the last week of summer, but I’m not too bummed because summer practically ended for me when Tennis started up! It’s made me uber busy, when I don’t have practice I have a match… It’s hard to plan anything because tennis usually gets in the way. It’s worth it though. I’m making friends and it’s been a lot of fun. Two days ago, the team threw a pasta party to get ready for the Mount match (Which we lost last night, lols.) There was tons of food and we all talked for like two hours about random stuff, lol. We also made shirts and they all got exposed to my artistic abilities. It was only a matter of time, even though the other people in my class already warned them! I really like my team, at least the JV side of it. We’re all friends already! Oh, and holy shits I'm skinny again! I missed you, athletic body!

I’ll actually be pretty glad to go to school; I’d like to see all my people again. I have a match the first day of school unfortunately, but it’s against a pretty small team so I’m not too worried. I’m really anxious to see my schedule. I feel like I’m the only person who hasn’t started school yet! Not that it’s a totally bad thing. I’ve read all my books (As I predicted, East of Eden was the only one I really enjoyed) and the bio project got canceled due to technical issues. I also got around to read two other books (A Farewell to Arms and The Curious Case of the Dog in the Nighttime) and just started another one, so hopefully reading more will help me get my artistic inspiration back.

It’s also kinda nice to have a weekly schedule again. I get bored with summer with the same thing over and over, but now that I have Tennis I can actually look forward to the weekend again. Also my parents and I have a new thing to do on the weekend: Watch Mad Men. That show is crazzzyyyy but it’s so great. Everything is so fashionable and historical, especially since every single aspect is spot on. I recommend it times a thousand. It’s a lot different from my normal shows, but I’m looking forward to seeing those around again too. I get tired of watching reruns real quickly. Mostly what I’ve been doing outside of Tennis, hanging with friends, and watching television is trying to do my comic. I have to change to Friday updates again since I’ve been so busy, so I’m not as stressed about it as I was before. I can’t believe it’s almost a year old! I’m glad to see I’ve finally stuck with something. Hopefully I can build my buffer up again so I can do some more solid art.
